Thanks for the detailed review Vera. It certainly sounds like quite a lot has been altered from the book. I am not one of those people who think a film should blindly follow abook (why film it in that case?) but it sounds as if a lot of the origninal "essence" of the story has been altered, Grenouille's feelings etc and Richis somewhat lees than paternal feelings for his daughter.
