| They Are up in the Air again |

The skijumping season has begun today, and in order to celebrate this fact I created a wallpaper, using photos of Dimitry Vassiliev.

The German team came in second today at the team event in Kuusamo. Who would have thought that? |

| Snape on the Screen |
[Jul. 3rd, 2009|04:32 pm] |
I created a wallpaper from that recent HBP still of Snape's home at Spinner's End.

The text I used is Wilfred Owen's poem "Dulce et decorum est", which might not be entirely fitting, but I liked the idea nonetheless.
Be cautious. This fits my screen, which is 1680 by 1050. If you want to resize the wallpaper for your screen, go ahead. If you want me to do it, I'll give it a try but won't promise anything. |

catsplay posted a new photo from Sweeney Todd, and I couldn't resist her calling to create a wallpaper. The second photo I used is also courtesy of catsplay.

In the past few days, I felt like playing with Photoshop, and here are the three wallpapers I came up with. I prefer text over frilly stuff and therefore included poems and song lyrics.

| I won third place! |
[Jul. 31st, 2006|10:02 pm] |
For the past few months I've been taking part in the weekly icon competitions at rickman_stills, hoping to be among the best three. So far I had no luck, but I was rewarded Mod's Choice four times.
Now, the community held a wallpaper competition, and guess what? I won third place! It was the first wallpaper I ever made and I won.
Behind the cut are the banners I received for the wallpaper and for the fourth icon that won Mod's Choice.

Having taken part in the contest for a while now, I have started to wonder what people expect from an icon. When is an icon beautiful? Should it be funny, conventionally or unconventionally cropped, frilly or simple? Does it need text? |
